Ayubowan and welcome to the games.lk website. We are proud to be the first to bring a Sinhala mobile game ( titled Colomba Wate) to the world. The game was introduced on the 8th August 2008 (8-8-8). But we didn't stop there. Due to our loyal fans requesting for more games, we decided to improve the game and introduce a two player option. And now (launched on Independence day [4th Feb] 2009) you can experience for the first time, a Sinhala multiplayer game (titled Colombo Wate 2.0).

Two options are available: Cops and robbers (Hora Police) and Challenge (Abiyogaya). In Hora police, one of the players become the police and the other the thief. A time limit is given in which to catch the thief. In Abiyogaya, both players start at the same place and objective is to finish the tasks (the hires) first. For a demo on how to play the game and see the features, please see the Help Video

Special Features

  • Incorporates Sinhala audio clips inside the gaming environment instructing the gamer.
  • Incorporates a unique marketing approach where sponsors are placed inside the game so that it can be given for free download for any citizen.
  • Has an almost identical map of Colombo in the game.
  • Has a multiplayer option where 2 players can play against each other connecting via Bluetooth.

As always its for free. Thats right, no charge, doesn't matter which mobile network you are on (either in Sri Lanka or the world), only requirement is that you have a java enabled mobile phone. (Inquire us using the contact form if you are not sure whether your phone model works)

We also encourage you to use the Invite Friend option to tell all your friends about this game. Help us to spread this free game amongst all Sri Lankans.

You can also watch the discussion programme that aired on Rupavahini on the 6th February 2009 about the game.
